The WVDOH’s Proposed Route plans to place a bridge over the North Fork of the Blackwater River Canyon. The image on this page is an illustration of the proposed bridge. Construction of this bridge could add additional acid mine drainage to the North Fork of the Blackwater River due to blasting. Once constructed, it would add light & noise pollution to the North Fork Canyon, disrupting the historical Blackwater Industrial Complex.
